Our True Music journey with Seth Troxler & Ballantine's continues in the magical city of St Petersburg. Our soundscape will be set against the backdrop of the annual White Nights season — which sees the city come alive at all hours under the gaze of nearly round the clock sunlight.

The evening crescendos with Seth Troxler b2b Magda — at a new and undisclosed location in St Petersburg.

And we'll be joined by top local talent in the form of Sofia Rodina and Tripastaz as well as honouring the second collaborator on Seth's True Music EP: Julia Govor.

Julia Govor "Forgotten Cloud (Seth Troxler Remix)"

The next track on Seth Troxler's Boiler Room X Ballantine’s True Music EP is a collaboration with Russian producer Julia Govor — former resident of Russia's ARMA17 & one of the country's fastest rising exports. Julia's journey as an artist in Russia is near-unparalleled: military band performer to cassette DJ to one of the biggest underground residents in Moscow. As a memento of their time spent together in Russia, Seth has reworked her unreleased track "Forgotten Cloud" into a deep & dark club tool — swooning, minimal & effortlessly magnetic.

Seth Troxler & Julia Govor in Russia

Our True Music journey with Ballantine’s and Seth Troxler aims to get to the heart of his values: finding common ground with like-minded artists around the world through a shared love of music, dance & food. It's a trip that sees him reaching Brazil, Russia & Poland — and connecting with long-term friends on creative collaborations in each place.

The second arm of our project touched down under the white nights of St Petersburg, giving Seth an opportunity to touch base with Julia Govor, former resident of Russia's ARMA17 & one of the country's fastest rising exports. Watch them dip into Julia's favourite spots in the city: a cosmic planetarium; a traditional Russian bathhouse & one of her favourite record stores.

Seth Troxler

Seth is obviously one of dance music's party powerhouses but he's no mere hedonist. Ever since he established himself in the late 00s through a run of oddball house records, he's become known as a man who absorbs a wonderfully deep well of influence, thoughtfully & deliberately. From Latin soul to deep rhythmic body music, his musical choices take influence from the whole breadth of the globe. We're kicking off our tour with Seth in a place where a lot of these decisions find perfect fusion. Prepare for a tropical fiesta.

Julia Govor

Julia Govor's career is famous for it's idiosyncratic start: from military band singer to cassette-DJ to international name producer and DJ now based in New York. Following a stint at presenting on Miller TV and MTV, Julia returned to DJing - notably a resident at the ubiquitous Arma17 for several years, as well as DJing across the world at Movement in Detroit, Kazantip in Ukraine, WMC in Miami, ADE in Amsterdam and Sonar Off in Barcelona. Her forays into production have been receiving increasing critical acclaim with releases on the likes of Visionquest, Get Physical, Highway Records, Hypertone and Superfreq.

Tripmastaz hails from the Detroit of Russia —  Chelyabinsk. He's devoted his life to Electronic music, first experimenting with  compositions aged of fourteen and carving out a professional DJ career since 1999. As well as being well respected in Russia, Tripmastaz has released abroad on labels such as Morris Audio (Switzerland), U-Freqs (UK), Proton (US). In 2010 Andrew got on the radar of house music heavyweight legend — DJ Sneak, who went on to release three EPs from Tripmastaz on his own label Magnetic Recordings. Since then Trip has put on records on Real Tone, Be As One and Cecille. His DJ sets are crafted in a similar way to his production: atypical grooves and moods cut with funk and attitude.

Sofia Rodina

We're very excited to be joined in St Petersburg by the very highly regarded and local resident of both the St Petersburg and Moscow underground scenes: Sofia Rodina. Having made the journey from the far Eastern Russian city Magadan to St Petersburg, she's become a firm part of the Russian Techno New Wave scene and is highly in demand in both Moscow (Monasterio, Space Moscow, Rodnya Studio and Gipsy) as well as residing at St Peterburg's Mosaique club. Sofia's skills extend beyond the DJ booth too where she's increasingly becoming known for her House and Techno blended production.
